The first G20 Framework Working Group (FWG) meeting of the year was held in Vancouver, Canada on January 20-21, 2015.
Representatives of G20 members, invited countries and international organizations have come together to discuss the global economic outlook and the main challenges in the global economy.
During the meeting, the FWG has also discussed a monitoring mechanism designed to ensure a rigorous accountability process of the implementation of the measures in growth strategies announced last year.
Members have expressed their broad support to Turkish Presidency’s aim to make 2015 the year of implementation.
In 2015, the FWG will focus its attention on the following issues:
- Global economic outlook
- Main challenges in the global economy
- Fiscal policy
- Imbalances
- Accountability and adjustments to growth strategies
The FWG will hold its second meeting in India in March.
