G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting Hosted in Istanbul on 9-10 February 2015

The first meeting of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors under the Turkish Presidency was held on 9-10 February 2015 in Istanbul.

The meeting was attended by the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the G20 members, invited countries, and the heads and senior representatives of the relevant international organizations.

This gathering provided an important opportunity to discuss and make progress on the G20’s 2015 agenda under the Turkish Presidency. G20 Ministers and Governors exchanged views on the current conjuncture of the global economy, together with challenges and collective measures to address them. They also focused on implementation plans of the comprehensive growth strategies, Turkish Presidency’s plans for the investment agenda, progress on financial reforms and the international tax issues. Another important agenda item was the latest developments regarding the 2010 IMF Quota and Governance Reform and the way forward.

Following the discussions of the G20 Ministers and Central Bank Governors, the Istanbul Communiqué was issued and shared with the international community.
